Ihave always been a very active, health-conscious person, but over the last few years, I found myself gaining weight. None of my clothes were fitting, I didn't like how I looked, and honestly I just wasn't feeling great about myself. I had always tried to keep up to date on the latest health and nutrition findings and I thought I was eating a balanced diet, and yet I kept gaining weight. It seemed that no matter how much or how hard I exercised, I couldn't loose the extra pounds.
Obviously what I was doing was no longer working for me, I knew I needed to take a different approach. When I learned about ZÜM's Get Lean program, I signed up right away. Practical Strategies
I was incredibly impressed with the instructor, Lauren Oktay. She was knowledgeable, positive, friendly and funny. The lectures were well-prepared and very interesting. It was obvious that Lauren truly cared about helping us achieve our goals. She armed us with tons of information on nutrition, diet, exercise, fat, organic foods, vitamins, supplements, and super foods. I must say that one of the most important things I learned is that we didn't need to "deny" ourselves or give up our favorite foods in order to loose weight. Lauren helped us learn practical strategies and tools for healthy weight loss and maintenance WITHOUT giving up chocolate.
In addition to the group sessions/lectures, I met with Lauren individually. These one-on-one sessions were great. She evaluated my eating patterns and caloric intake and helped me to identify my personal obstacles to weight loss. She even suggested vitamins and supplements that would work for me. I left the meetings feeling re-motivated and committed to my goals!
Expert Guidance
The personal training was a key part of my weight loss. I have been "doing weights" for years, but not like this! My trainer Kathryn was awesome. I've trained in the past but not at this level, Kathryn's knowledge was unmistakable and her guidance consistent and inspiring. She developed a personalized program to help me achieve my goals and really kept me motivated. I gained strength, lost inches and improved my posture!
I can't say enough about the Get Lean program! I absolutely loved it. I learned so much, and continue to learn from the materials that were provided. I not only lost weight, 10lbs so far, but I gained a new approach to eating, nutrition and exercise. I feel great, and did I mention I lost 10lbs?
